Sr. Scrum Master / Project Manager

What You’ll Do Here

● Operate as a team-based servant leader in service to the team's needs and ensure the team is practicing Agile principles

● Be the “resident expert” of Agile and Scrum best practices for your Scrum Team(s)

● Partner with, coach, and support Product Owner and/or Manager in managing the backlog to ensure it is properly prioritized, estimated, and clearly understood by the team

● Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily scrum, retrospectives, and sprint reviews) and help prepare the team for Quarterly/Program Increment (PI) planning activities

● Establish, track, and communicate Agile metrics (such as team velocity and sprint progress/burn down/up charts), helping the team to focus on delivery of high-quality features on a predictable, sustainable cadence

● Promote continuous improvement by coaching the team to use metrics to identify and measure progress

● Protect the team from interruptions and distractions, helping maximize their focus and throughput

● Identify, remove, and/or escalate risks, roadblocks, and cross-team dependencies that are unresolvable by the team and interfere with the team's ability to deliver commitments

● Interact with other Scrum Masters and Product Owners to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization and cross-squad/cross-functional collaboration on delivery execution

● Continuously learn new approaches to facilitation, Agile best practices, and how to improve team dynamics
