Technical Lead

About the Role

Lead engineering on replatforming a suite of proprietary tools that power large-scale data review and analysis — one of the primary builders, setting technical direction while staying close to the code, in close partnership with a Product Manager.

What You'll Do

● Lead architecture, infrastructure, and data-modeling decisions on the replatforming effort

● Migrate an analytics tool from desktop to a modern web-based platform, including ingestion pipelines for large, varied datasets (email-style and mobile-forensic data formats)

● Evolve a document-review tool from a platform-hosted experience to a standalone application with external API integrations

● Establish engineering foundations from scratch — CI/CD, testing, deployment, coding standards

● Partner with the Product Manager to sequence work and scope complexity

● Build and grow the engineering team underneath you

Required

● 8–10+ years of software engineering experience, with strong platform and data-pipeline chops

● Proven ability to build from scratch — founding or lead engineer on at least one greenfield product

● Strong modern web application architecture — full-stack, cloud infra, APIs, data pipelines

● Experience with large-scale data ingestion/processing — schema variability, dedup, transformation at scale

● Comfortable ramping into a new technical domain without hands-on legal-tech background required

● Startup mindset — comfortable with ambiguity, pragmatic under speed pressure Strongly Preferred (Not Gating)

● Hands-on experience with Relativity, Reveal/RDM, or Cellebrite exports

● Desktop-to-web migration experience

● Experience in or alongside a legal-tech, eDiscovery, or compliance/investigations practice

Nice to Have

● NLP/analytics techniques applied to unstructured data

● Multi-tenant SaaS experience or single-tenant-to-shared-infra transitions

● Chain-of-custody / data security background in litigation contexts
