Senior Backend Developer

We are looking for a modern, AI-empowered senior backend engineer to help build and launch a new digital purchase platform. The role involves owning backend services end-to-end, integrating third-party providers, and delivering agentic AI features.

You will work on a greenfield backend, building an integration layer, AI plumbing, and an agent-facing dashboard that enables real-time customer support and AI-assisted conversations.

Responsibilities

• Build and own provider connectors including authentication, retries, webhooks, and observability
• Lead technical design discussions and own complex parts of the stack
• Collaborate closely with product stakeholders in short sprints
• Deliver AI features such as chatbots and agent co-pilot tools end-to-end
• Define engineering best practices including clean code, testing, CI/CD, and AI-generated documentation
• Mentor team members through pairing and code reviews

Skills Required

• 6+ years of experience building production backends
• Strong experience with TypeScript/Node.js or Python/FastAPI
• Experience integrating third-party APIs at scale
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and agentic AI tooling
• Cloud and infrastructure-as-code experience (AWS or GCP, Terraform, Docker, CI/CD)
• Bonus experience with VLM, RPA, or browser automation
