What You'll Do:

● Participate in the IT Operations team's shared responsibilities, including application support, data support, and software deployments.

● Administer and support our Azure cloud environment, including resource groups, virtual machines, storage accounts, App Services, and Key Vault secrets.

● Manage on-premises and cloud networking, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, Azure. Virtual Networks, network security groups, and hybrid connectivity between on-premises systems and Azure.

● Monitor and respond to Azure infrastructure alerts (e.g., Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics), triaging severity and resolving or escalating as appropriate.

● Serve as a point of contact for operational escalations, coordinating with engineering teams and vendors through resolution and communicating status to stakeholders.

● Establish and promote best practices that help employees use AI tools effectively, securely, and responsibly, including guidance, training, and hands-on support.

● Use AI assistants, agents, and MCP-connected tools to query systems, investigate issues, automate routine tasks, and interact with internal software and data.

● Fulfill and track access requests for tools and systems (e.g., Microsoft Entra ID, Azure RBAC, databases, SaaS applications), following least-privilege and approval policies.

● Maintain user onboarding and offboarding procedures, and conduct periodic access reviews.

● Work tickets in our support ticketing system, for both internal and external requests, keeping stakeholders informed through resolution.

● Develop and maintain automation scripts and runbooks, using AI to accelerate script creation, documentation, and troubleshooting.

● Investigate and resolve application issues by pulling code locally, using AI tools to diagnose and draft fixes, and coordinating peer review before deploying to production

● Participate in incident response and root cause analysis, and document findings and preventive actions.

● Ensure compliance with security, cost management, and operational standards.


Required

● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

● Strong experience with Microsoft Azure administration, including Azure Portal, Azure CLI, and core services (compute, storage, networking, App Service).

● Networking experience across on-premises and cloud environments, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, Azure Virtual Networks, and network security groups.

● Hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot) in daily technical work.

● Ability to coach non-technical users on adopting AI tools, with an understanding of responsible AI use and data security considerations.

● Experience with Azure monitoring and alerting tools

● Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

● Familiarity with ticketing and ITSM workflows (e.g., Jira Service Management) and on-call or escalation processes.

● Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a sense of ownership.

● Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.


Preferred

● Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-700)

● Working knowledge of KQL

● Experience with freight, parcel, invoice, or other transactional data

● Experience with AI agents and/or MCP servers

● Familiarity with identity and access management, including Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), RBAC, groups, and conditional access.

● Exposure to infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Bicep, Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines
