Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  •  Responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance and reliable operation of software, computer
    systems, network servers, and virtualization
  • Carry out daily tasks such as troubleshooting, configuration of SaaS environments, restoring environments,
    and refreshing data
  • Troubleshoot software application performance by reviewing log files and running diagnostics,
    documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
  • Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of services
    and system software and related infrastructure/SaaS environments.
  • Responsible for sizing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting SaaS environment in Microsoft Azure
  • Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or
    upgrades of SaaS environments
  • Monitor backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery,
    and failover procedures
  • Responsible for capacity, SaaS resource planning, and database performance
    Technology Skills
  • Data base management system software — MsSQL Server; Postgres
  • Data base user interface and query software — PostgreSQL; SQL Management Studio; Dbeaver
  • Development environment software — Microsoft PowerShell; CMD; bash
  • Network monitoring software — PRTG; Azure Monitoring
  • Operating system software — Microsoft Windows Server; linux
  • Cloud —Microsoft Azure
     
  • Qualifications
    Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a
    closely related field, or equivalent experience required
  • Experience in database, network administration, Azure administration, system administration
  • System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus
  • Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of systems and Azure networking, software, hardware, and networking protocols
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools
  • A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans
  • Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices,
    including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
